Certification DIN ISO 45001

Certification according to DIN ISO 45001

Certification according to DIN ISO 45001 is possible for companies and organizations from all industries. This standard replaces the OHSAS 18001 standard and is considered the new occupational health and safety management system.

For companies that are currently certified according to the OHSAS 18001 standard, the conversion to the new DIN ISO 45001 standard must be completed by March 12, 2021.

For companies that already have a certification according to ISO 9001:2015 (or 14001:2015) and know the high-level structure, it is easily possible to implement DIN ISO 45001 into your management system with little effort.

The standard considers the aspects of occupational health and safety both in the operational processes and in the working conditions and environments in the company. The company management assumes responsibility for occupational health and safety and must demonstrate appropriate commitment to it. Possible risks at the workplace must be evaluated and measures for risk reduction must be derived.

In addition, customers and external parties are also considered, such as subcontractors, who are also subject to the company's responsibility.

The standard is intended to help reduce accidents at work resulting from misconduct within the company and at the same time to improve employee awareness of occupational health and safety.

Requirements

The existence of the standard in the company is elementary.

Certification according to DIN ISO 450001 also requires an obvious structure and organization of the company as well as a clear definition of responsibilities and tasks in the departments. All this must be available in a documented form.
